We invite the local community to join us for a fun afternoon or evening where locals hang out as your third place. When you visit, you support our members. YOU, yes- you can become a Friends of the Post member! You’ll enjoy many of the benefits of full American Legion membership when you join.

There's something you feel the moment you walk through the door at Post 416 — a sense that this place has been here for people, in all the ways that matter, for a very long time.

American Legion San Dieguito Post 416 was chartered in Encinitas in 1931 not just to serve veterans, but to be a cornerstone of this community — and it has been ever since.

Club 416, housed within the American Legion San Dieguito Post 416, is a place with real character - unpretentious, welcoming, rooted. It doesn't try to be everything to everyone. It just consistently shows up for the people who matter: veterans, families, neighbors, and community at large.
